GEO-society
In November 2004 all ZCU employees who work with geographical data met for the first time. By this meeting was established unofficial society. Its goal is to distribute and exchange geo-information, software, know-how and experiences between students and teachers at ZCU.
E-mail conference and GEO-society
The conference was established by people, which are concerned in the problem of geo-sciences on the University of Western Bohemia. The aim of the conference is to bring information about “geo-activities”, which take place (not only) at ZCU. We hope, that it will serve as well as an platform for solving problems of current users.

GEO-seminary
GEO-seminary represents periodical meeting of geo-positive users on ZCU. In the frame of the meeting will the members get the latest news from our branch, research activities at our departments, problems that are currently solved, etc.
Cooperation with ESRI
In autumn 2005 signed the University of Western Bohemia a science cooperation contract with company ARCDATA PRAHA, the exclusive distributor for ESRI and Leica for the Czech Republic. This has brought us some duties, but a lot of benefits – huge pack of software and free access for all of our students to ESRI virtual campus.
